JACK KRUMBEIN LIVE IN CONCERT
This is a recital by renowned violinist Jack Krumbein, performing an all Paganini program that you will not want to miss. Jack Krumbein was born in Hamburg, Germany on June 16, 1975 and started violin lessons at age 5. By the ageof 21 he had already toured worldwide as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral violinist through Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Countries performed in include Columbia, Mexico, USA, Canada, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Peoples Republic of China, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, The Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Italy and many more. Concert halls he has performed at include: Carnegie Hall in New York, Andres Bello Auditorium at the InterAmerican Development Bank in Washington D.C., Dome Cathedral in Salzburg, Cairo Royal Opera House in Egypt, Chen Chai Chek Theater in Taipei, University of Amman Performing Arts Theater, City Hall in Johannesburg, South Africa and Durban Opera House, amongst many others. He has also performed on television, his music has been aired on radio and he was accepted into the 1999 Nicolo Paganini Violin Competition in Genoa, Italy where he was a competitor. He has studied under legendary teachers and musicians such as Abram Shtern, Ruggiero Ricci, Herbert Bloomstedt, Dr. Virginia Gene Rittenhouse, Hakop Mekinyan, LeRoy Peterson and Paul McEnderfer. It is his mission to bring comfort, understanding of the human spirit and love throughout the world via the gift of music.

This concert featured renowned violin soloist Jack Krumbein
performing Mendelssohn's D minor Violin Concerto and
Massenet's "Meditation" arranged for violin and orchestra.
The program also included a piece written by composer Jason
Turbin for the 1 year anniversary of the orchestra, the 2nd
movement of Mendelssohn's "Italian" Symphony, a Serenade
by Mozart arranged for winds and Alan Hovhaness' "Prayer
For Saint Gregory" featuring Brett Klein on the trumpet.

Herbert Zipper Concert Hall across from the Disney Hall.
The concert featured Bach's challenging 2nd Brandenburg
Concerto, Corelli's Concerto Grosso II, Pachelbel's Canon
in D and the premiere of an orginal composition by
Jason Turbin, a member of the orchestra.

1st & HOPE EXHIBITION PERFORMANCE
October 21st, 2006 The orchestras very first performance at the premiere of the film "1st & Hope" which featured lots of the artists from the downtown Los Angeles arts scene and was held a Steve Berra's Skate Park. The performance featured works by Mendelssohn, Bach and Tchaikovsky.
